Brian Bogers comes out swinging at 2021 MXGP season final

And that’s a wrap for the 2021 FIM Motocross World Championship! It’s been a wild ride with plenty of podiums, some good crashes, and unfortunately a few unwanted injuries along the way, but at the season-ending GP in Mantova, it was Brian Bogers who dug deep for a solid sixth overall in the MXGP class.

Brian Bogers: “It’s a great feeling to end the season with a fifth-place finish in moto two. I got a great start and it was awesome to be running up front all race in the final moto of the year. I really want to thank the Standing Construct GASGAS team for everything this season. They did such a great job and worked really hard, so it’s a shame that I couldn’t quite get into the top 10 overall this season. But this winter we will work even harder together and get the good results that the team deserves in 2022.”
After returning from illness and placing 10th overall at round 17 just three days ago, Brian Bogers was clearly back to his best at the season finale with the Dutchman securing a solid sixth overall in the MXGP class. Despite missing a couple of rounds this year, Brian placed 12th in the final championship standings.

For Pauls Jonass, after hovering around the top five in the MXGP World Championship standings all season long, a few painful broken ribs from a crash at round 15 ruled him out of the final three Grands Prix, including today’s season finale. With his season highlighted by placing third overall at the MXGP of Belgium, the Latvian enjoyed plenty of moto podiums on his way to securing eighth in the series.

With the dust now settled on our second season of competing in the FIM Motocross World Championship, it’s safe to say that it’s been another rollercoaster of a year! We’ve had plenty of highlights with holeshots and podium results, mixed in with some tougher times with crashes and injuries. But overall, Standing Construct GASGAS Factory Racing has done an incredible job!
